Ms. Schmidt's practice focuses on securities, M&A, shareholder derivative, and general commercial litigation.

Ms. Schmidt has extensive experience representing financial institutions, corporations, private equity firms, and business executives in securities class actions and complex disputes relating to financial products and corporate governance matters.

Ms. Schmidt is recognized as a leading securities litigator by the New York Law Journal, Chambers USA, The Legal 500, The Best Lawyers in America, and New York Super Lawyers. She has also been honored as a "Litigation Trailblazer" by The National Law Journal and was designated a "Securities MVP" by Law360.

Ms. Schmidt currently serves on the Executive Committee in the Litigation Practice Group of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies and is a former president of the Republican National Lawyers Association.
